Coming up: 8th – 14th July
This week on Classicalis in addition to the most featured composers on this site (Beethoven, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Tchaikovsky) it’s all about (Frédéric) Chopin and (Franz) Liszt! Alongside them, we have pieces composed by the German female composer Luise Adolpha Le Beau as well as Enrico Toselli, Carl Orff and Sergei Prokofiev. There is a rousing performance of “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra” composed by the British composer Benjamin Britten, (actually the piece itself is inherently rousing!) – as well as a performance of “Nuvole Bianche” (White Clouds) by the Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi, who is one of the few composers featured on this website who is still alive!
