Coming up: 1st-7th July
We have a wonderful week of musical delights to launch this website! Among the dozens of performances being shared we have pieces by the British composers Henry Purcell and Alice Mary Smith, the latter of whom is doubly striking among composers in being both British and female! We also have Felix Mendelssohn, alongside another well-known composer called F. Mendelssohn – that would be Felix’s sister, Fanny! There are also pieces composed by Aram Khachaturian, Jean Sibelius, James Last and Igor Stravinsky to look forward to – and stay tuned for a violin performance of a piece composed by the aforementioned Mr Mendelssohn performed by a very gifted 5 yr old!
